The aim of this Public Private Partnership project is to provide practical knowledge and skills to specialists and farm managers in Ukraine and to support the further development of the Ukrainian education and vocational training system in agriculture sector. Overall activities are the establishment and operation of a German Agricultural Training and Information Centre in Ukraine (www.daz-ukraine.net).

The agricultural enterprises and educational institutions in Ukraine will get access to information and educational programs about practices and technologies for a more efficient, profitable and sustainable management of agricultural enterprises. The target groups of the project are Ukrainian agricultural specialists and executive staff as well as Ukrainian agricultural teachers and trainers of the Ukrainian education system. More than 800 participants are attending the training courses every year.

• Establishment of an German Agricultural Training and Information Centre in Ukraine (DAZ)
• Institution building and recruitment of experts and other staff
• Public relation activities and establishment of cooperation between the relevant authorities and institutions
• Vocational training of agricultural specialists and executive staff regarding the practical handling and management of new agriculture technologies in crop and animal production
• Consultancy on improved agriculture production systems
• Organisation of field days to demonstrate improved agriculture technologies under practical conditions
• Technical assistance to local, regional and national agricultural education institutions to update Curricula and training methodology for agriculture specialists
