| Project description |
The project was supporting the development of the first private milk recording association (APCL) in Romania/Brasov as a model for countrywide improvement of milk quality analysis, milk hygiene and milk recording. The objective of the project was that members of APCL Brasov (dairy farmers and milk processors) and other users of the data of the milk control services of APCL are provided with a informative data base, that enable them to come closer to the production and quality standards of the EU. |

- System development of the entire process of milk sampling, transport, laboratory analysis, reporting, information flow to farmers and consultancy
- TA in order that services in Brasov in the areas of milk control and milk quality analysis has improved in quantity and quality and came closer to the European Union standards
- TA in order that the model of APCL in Brasov is developed and tested and the experiences will be used for the further development of milk control and milk quality analysis & supervision in the entire country
- TA in order that a milk analysis laboratory in Brasov is functional and provides services for milk quality analysis & supervision
- Consultancy and training to milk producers, milk processors, management staff and employees of milk recording association (controllers)
- TA to improve legislative framework necessary for adapting the rules in milk control and milk quality analysis according to EU, respectively to ICAR standards
- Organisation of conferences, study tours and information campaigns
- TA to develop models for dairy farms in Brasov for the application of SAPARD funds to improve dairy farms, milk hygiene and milk quality.
