Development and Implementation of agri-environment measures

The overall objective of the EU funded project of which this contract is a part is to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector in the country.

The purpose of this contract is to provide technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy and the IPARD Paying Agency in order to strengthen the national and regional capabilities that are required to tackle the priorities for EU alignment and market-orientated reforms and development in the sector, focusing in particular on development and implementation of agri-environment measures.

Type of services provided:

The results to be achieved by the Consultant can be summarised in three components, as follows:

• Further alignment achieved in the field of agri-environmental legislation
• Development and implementation of agri-environmental policy and associated administrative capacity
• Development of Paying Agency capacity to manage and control agri-environmental support programmes
