|
The overall objective of the project of which this contract will be a part is to improve food safety standards of animal origin.
The purpose of this contract is to strengthen and expand the concept, system design and implementation plan for an integrated animal I&R and Veterinary Information System (VIS) in line with EU standards to comprise the bovine, ovine and caprine species, with the possibility of future expansion to other animal species.
The project aims to strengthen the recently started bovine I&R system, expand the system to sheep and goats and develop a Veterinary Information System (VIS) including animal disease surveillance. The scope of the Consultant’s work is technical assistance and institution building support. |

The Project “Animal Identification and Registration (I&R) – Phase II” financed by the European Union is seeking:

Qualifications and skills
• University degree in information technology
• Fluent in spoken and written (reading and writing) English and local language
Specific professional experience
• 2 years of Proficiency in development of multi tier information systems, JAVA, HTML, XML, Frameworks JSF, Hibernate
Additionally, the Software developer could have experience in one or more of the following fields:
• Database management systems (DBMS), design and implementation of webbased applications and system integration.
• Working on UNIX /Linux Windows platforms.
The positions are in 81000 Podgorica, Montenegro, starting May 2010, as long-term expert for up to 200 working days (Monday to Friday), or as short-term expert for up to 50 working days. The expert will work in an international team where software development is taking advantage of the latest IT technologies. |
